Over the course of the summer you will be able to borrow a Living Book! In this insightful series, we have invited a variety of special guests to come and talk with you about their life experiences. In a one-on-one conversation, you will have the opportunity to ask the Living Book any questions that are on your mind about their title and area of expertise.
While you are waiting for your turn to ‘borrow’ them, mingle with your fellow community members, have meaningful conversation, and enjoy light refreshments on us!

Living Books for September 26th:
Lynn Dollin is the Mayor of the Town of Innisfil. She has been an elected official for the Town of Innisfil since 1994, holding various positions including Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillor. She also served as Deputy Warden for the County of Simcoe, a former President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and a recipient of the “Women of Influence in Local Government” award from Municipal World.
Victoria Carrick is a 28 year old working at the Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County sharing her lived and living experiences using empathy and understanding of personal experience mixed with textbook knowledge from her Bachelor’s Degree with a Specialization in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. In her role, she sets out to foster hope and provide encouragement to others on their recovery journeys with mental health and/or addiction struggles. Victoria has a huge passion for helping others by sharing her experiences, empowering individuals and providing insight into recovery-what might seem like an impossible journey for many. Victoria has a complex past with mental health struggles and is looking forward to sharing her experiences with mood and personality disorders with you.
