Join us at the ideaLAB & Library for an inspiring conversation leading up to Local Government Week! 

Dr. Kofi Hope, Co-Founder of Monumental Projects and Senior Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs, will sit down with Mayor Lynn Dollin to explore what it takes to open doors in local politics. Together, they will explore the barriers that diverse candidates face, ways to overcome them, and how communities can support more inclusive leadership.

After their conversation, the floor will open to audience questions on getting involved in local politics and strengthening democracy.

Kofi Hope is a Rhodes Scholar and has a Doctorate from Oxford University. He is the co-founder of consulting firm Monumental and Urbanist in Residence at the University of Toronto’s School of Cities. He previously founded the CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals, Canada’s largest charity serving Black youth.
