Rather disappointing. The book opens with Morgan grieving her husband's death (18 months ago) but as soon as she meets Jack she's apparently completely healed. Despite saying she is totally torn up by her husband's death, she seems to forget about him pretty quickly. Then again, she might have been distracted by having a stranger appear, the bad guys showing up to try to kill them & burning down her cottage - which they barely escape by means of a convenient underground tunnel & a run through the forest - oh, by the way, the stranger/hero had been tortured & could hardly stay conscious long enough to walk anywhere much less run... and did I mention the mountain lion? All of this was in the first 100 pages, too. All in all, I found it too be a little too much action & too little character interaction & development.
