I 100% agree with Einekatze11. It is a "pat myself on the back look how fabulous my family and I are" kind of book. I had to skip a lot of it so I can't say I actually read the entire thing. This is the first time I've commented on a book from the library, but I feel compelled to warn off potential readers. It's time spent that you will never get back!

This book is written by the most conceited author I have ever read. It could've been a really interesting book, and I wanted to like it so much that I tried reading it two separate times; both times I could not get even halfway through. This woman is so prideful the Amish would be HORRIFIED that she has written a book about being "almost Amish". She is the worst of the goody-two-shoes Christians, and her bragging makes her writing absolutely unbearable. Also, who do you think helps people more, a doctor or an "evangelist"? (Her husband quits his job at the emergency room in order to be a traveling my opinion the latter makes virtually no difference in people's lives, at least in North America, because they preach to the choir.) What a SHAME!!
