Great book . Sad also. Can't put it down once you start reading it . Everyone should read to try and understand the hard time the kids had during the war. The ending is very surprising .A book not soon forgotten !

this book was one i couldn't put down! There was so much action, but it was so sad! EVERYONE needs to read this book and the series to experience a childs life at war!

Such a wonderful book that I loved. I read this because I had to do a Historical Fiction project in school, so I picked this book. I honestly didn't expect to like it so much! Sadly, I picked up on the sequel which I didn't notice until I finally finished reading the book so I'm a bit cut off in any expositions. I might go back to get the prequel and I'm certain I'll get the sequel! I would recommend it do anyone in need of a story about the holocaust.

Better than the first.

Its a VERY hooking,heartbreaking,moving. Definitly sutiable for 10 year olds and up. Best book I have ever read and also there are the same ones, first book is Once then, Then and last one is After. So yeah a 10/10 book it is a must read!!

Then is a very nice book. It has brought me the feelings of how the Jews condition or situation was at that time. I feel very guilty about how much lucky I am to live in a world that doesn't bring war. In some parts of the book I felt like crying but I only knew that it was only the imagination of Morris Glitzman to make us imagine how the Jewsw would have felt. Overall I love this book and I wish there was a movie. I recommed people to read this book and then read Once and the other book which I forgot the name.
