Before this I loved Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), but this movie was just so without a plot - didn't even watch the whole move - cannot even figure out purpose of movie...

Lots of good fun, though possibly the silliest X-Men film I've seen.

Couldn't get into movie.
Isn't comic book character supposed to be short & squat? Hollywood executives screwed up in casting.

I likes the movie more than I expected. Watch it if you are a fan of high octane action and cool fight scenes.

Hugh Jackman returns once again as the Wolverine. The movie begins with Logan saving a Japanese soldier from a bomb in Nagasaki in World War Two. Now, Logan is distressed after killing Jean Grey. A Japanese girl visits him to tell him that her father, the one he saved in World War Two, is on his deathbed and would like to see Logan. Logan, who is immortal, is offered the ability to be mortal by Yashida (the name of the man he saved). Logan refuses, and later on things take a turn for the worse. Logan finds himself shot and unable to heal. Confused, he must find out why his regenerative powers are not working. I enjoyed this movie although as a marvel movie with Wolverine, perhaps the fights could’ve been a bit better.

Honestly, they could've done better. It's like they were grasping at straws. It didn't turn out like all the others. it's like they didn't take the time it needed to get it done right.

Awful movie! Everything about this movie is boring! The story, the characters, the villain, the action sequences, everything is boring!!! Don’t bother…

Hero or zero? Depends on what you like in these movies. If chewing gum for the testosterone beast within, this is as good as any.
If, as i, you watch them at least as much for inadvertent comedy value, then the "silly lightweight dramatics of Thor or Iron Man" are way better.
This movie is in something like 'the uncanny valley"- not real enough to take seriously, but too self-important to provide any laughs. And no, it doesn't make up for its deficits with any particular style. Just a me-too cg action thriller [watch for Wolverine IV coming soon!].
The only plus would be for the ladies- the wolverine and his luscious washboard abs.

Better than most in its genre.
Certainly better than other Marvel films like the silly, lightweight dramatics of Thor or Iron Man.

Not the greatest in the franchise. Plot is laboured and contrived.

Logan: Your grandfather called me a ronin, a samurai without a master. He said I was destined to live forever, with no reason to live.
Mariko: Was he right?
Logan: Yes.

Yukio: [draws a katana] This sword is hundreds of years old and was named Danzan by the first samurai who used it. Danzan means "separator" in Japanese. The ideal weapon for separating head and limb from body.
