Add a CommentCute and rhyming, this is a great book to read aloud to little ones during the Holidays.
This book is a rewrite of the traditional song, "Deck the Halls." In this story the children get up to all sorts of mischief such as throwing mashed potatoes at the walls, playing with their food, and sneaking desserts. In the end they are "Thankful we are all together."
The illustrations in this book are cute and colorful.
I have a serious problem with children throwing food at walls and under the table, playing with their food at the table, sneaking cookies while Grandma's back is turned, and mocking the adults. The adults happily clean up the mess while the children get off scot free and go out to play. This book had potential to be a fun and silly book, but sets a bad example for children.
