There is a tremendous amount of technical information abut nuclear submarines and the tactics they use in warfare here. Also much insight into the ways and means of Islamic terrorism.

Unfortunately, the characters are unrealistic and the plot is thin (in spite of over 400 pages). Too many beautiful people, too many stereotypes. DiMercurio tries to write a high tech thriller and a romance novel in one go. He succeeds at being neither Barbara Cartland nor Tom Clancy.

I couldn't make it past page 202.
