I enjoy Joe Gray mysteries. And I enjoyed this story with MIsto. It ravels reality with the other world and both kind and shady humans. The plot moved well and my only complaint is "it just ended". Since this is a prequel, I must go back and read "Cat Bearing Gifts" to see how it all turns out.

This could have been so good. But I found it repetitive, almost preachy, and frankly, boring. I would have preferred more subtlety in the drawing of the characters and in the development of the plot. Did not finish.

An avid reader of Shirley Rouseeau's novels, I was very disappointed in this latest one. I found it too dark, depressing and couldn't maintain an interest in the story line.
