I always enjoy this kind of book! Life is so not perfect that it becomes perfect!

Mildly humorous in a 'what I said' 'but what I really meant' sort of way. Story ended abruptly but the family pet epilogue was touching. Recipes an unexpected. Sort of felt like an abridged story, like reading a novella before its fleshed out. Pleasant reading but I wanted more detail.

Stimson and her family have no idea what they're in for when they up & move to Vermont. Their cluelessness continues to show through as they get into one jam after another with the local folk. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments, and plenty of cringeworthy ones too!
