An enjoyable, but by-the-numbers book of a teens struggle with his being gay, but falling in love, outed by someone who was supposed to be a friend, and the obligatory happy ending. The author does a pretty good job of conveying David's feelings of confusion, fear and desire, and is likeable enough that we care what happens to him.

I really loved this book! It's exactly like the summary says; a story of the star QB coming to terms with himself and writing about it in his journal. It's not too angsty or sad but it has its moments. All in all a quick and wonderful read.
