Thirteen-year-old October Schwartz is new in town; short on friends and the child of a clinically depressed science teacher, she spends her free time in the Sticksville Cemetery and it isn't long before she befriends the ghosts of five dead teenagers, each from a different era of the past. Using October's smarts and the ghosts' abilities to walk through walls and roam around undetected, they form the Dead Kid Detective Agency, a group committed to solving Sticksville's most mysterious mysteries. So when the high school's beloved French teacher dies in a suspicious car accident, it provides the agency with its first bona fide case, putting them in the midst of a murder plot thick with car chases, cafeteria fights, and sociopathic math teachers, and sending them on an adventure that might just uncover the truth about a bomb that exploded 40 years ago.

"The Dead Kid Detective Agency" is a great book that I really enjoyed! when I read this book I thought I wouldn't like it. But I had to read it during Math Class because I wanted to know what happened. October a 13 year old girl, has to join High School at 13. when shes supposed to be enjoying her 7/8 life. Her favorite teacher died. Mr O'Shea, was the only reason she wanted to go to school.
October finds out that Mr. O'Shea is dead, she puts her self up to finding who killed the wonderful Mr. O'Shea and why?

I liked this book because it always kept me wondering about who could be Mr. O'shea's killer or if it really was just an accident. I was also very anxious to see if the dead kids would get caught when they snuck around or if they would solve the mystery in time before they would dissapear. This book was very interesting to read and to solve the mystery!

The dead kids are awesome and the death of Mr O'Shea was pretty sad. Her childhood is sad though. I would have never suspected Mr Page. Long live Santuzzi! It's a great story.

I liked this book because it was different from most books I have read. My favorite character was Mr. Page because he seems so sweet and caring when he helps October write her book, so i was sad when he died. i recommend this book to people who like mysteries.

I enjoyed reading this book. I loved how this book made me try to solve the mystery as I went along. If I was in October's place and I met the dead kids I would've been freaked out. I can't wait to get a chance to read the second book. I am really curious where October's mom went. As I read the book I couldn't help but wonder how all the dead kids died. I think that Evan Munday has written a great book.

I have to admit, this is one of my favorite books. Despite the name, it's not scary nor a boom to be scared about reading. I would recommend it for who likes mysteries, and all around drama. Although the book is great, I have to agree the beginning is very slow and takes time to get to the action. But, HERE'S MY ADVICE...
Keep reading even if you find it strange! I'm almost positive you'll love it! ..... Still trying to decide on what to vote for, though: this or The Grave Robbers Apprentice...But in the time being, enjoy this book!
