Nostalgia, experimental aviation and behind the scenes of Hollywood movie-making.... Connelly and Campbell make for a handsome on-screen couple.... Heroism and Naziism in 1939.... Howard Hughes and his revolutionary jet-pack.... A satisfying mix of slapstick comedy, youthful romance and high-flying adventure.... Thrills and chills galore. World War 2 drama and German spies in America.... Aerodynamics, stunt flying and an awesome Zeppelin.... FBI agents and hired muscle.... Excellent visual effects and a superb cast.... All wrapped up with an ending that's sure to please.

Not very good. I normally like 1930's style movies that are done cleverly, like City Heat or Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.
Rocketeer, unfortunately, only managed to imitate the corny characters and dialog and the far-fetched, contrived plots of 1930's "B" movies. Had to turn it off.

A thrilling adventure, based on the comic strip character!

In my opinion one of the best films of the 1990s and fun for the whole family!

Funtastic movie. Made in the heart of hollywoodland with just the right flair. It's a timeless venture to see the precursor of the aviators dream take short flight in a scaled down model version. The Zeppelin was true genius but when will the Nazi's ever learn to use Helium. I enjoyed the movie so much I think I'm going to steam punk my electrolux vacuum cleaner.

The Rocketeer is a satisfying mix of slapstick comedy, youthful romance and high-flying adventure.... Jennifer Connelly and Bill Campbell make for a handsome on-screen couple.... Excellent visual effects that includes an awesome Zeppelin.... Set in the year 1939, The Rocketeer is a nostalgic look at Hollywood in its heyday.

This was always a favourite of mine, now finally watched this with the whole family, and both kids (8 & 14) enjoyed it. Lots of action and adventure, humor, and fun for all.
