Affleck is horrible as Bruce Wayne. Justice league cannot compare with the Avengers.

This movie is really good to watch. 6 Super Heroes saving the day. :) :) :)

If you don't care about the Justice League, this movie won't make you care. If you do care, you can probably make up a better story yourself.

It's an okay film. If you want something for an otherwise empty evening, than give this a go. Still, it could have, and should have, been much better. The CG is okay, but not great. Some of the dialogue is a bit clunky. The plot could be a bit better, more streamlined, better explained. The action scenes are pretty good. Jason Mamoa and Ezra Miller are the highlights as Aquaman and the Flash respectively. It's okay, but Marvel is still way better when it comes to ensemble movies like this.

I struggled between giving this 3 and a half or 4 stars. Spoilers below.

At a glance, it's not a terrible movie. It does just about everything you'd expect the movie to do. The plot is okay, and there are many delightful easter eggs. I really wanted to like this movie.

But.... I have issues. There is virtually no build up at all as far as the plot goes, which for a 'connected universe' type film is absolutely necessary. Despite being a big comic nerd, I actually had to look up the villain's name, which is kind of a bad sign. Ben Afleck, while talented, felt a bit... awkward as Batman? He has the chops to pull the role off, but he never seemed to be comfortable at what he was doing, which is absolutely necessary for Batman; Batman is supposed to be calculating, collected, and he always has a plan. 'Batfleck' did not feel like Batman the same way that Christian Bale or George Clooney did. Say what you want about Batman and Robin, but Clooney absolutely NAILED Bruce Wayne and had a more than passable take on Batman, terrible dialogue and costume aside. As before, Gal Gadot shone as Wonder Woman, and I even got into Jason Mamoa as Aquaman. I prefer the CW's take on The Flash by a longshot, and I'm sorry, but this movie was sorely missing a Green Lantern. Maybe Ryan Reynolds did not give his best performance when he donned the CG suit, but I'd have rather have had him around then no Green Lantern at all; why DC did not even attempt to recast another of the named Lanterns, like "John Stewart" or "Kyle Raynar", I just don't get.

What the movie really needed was build-up. It needed proper origin movies. I'll admit, we've had a LOT of Batman movies over the last twenty years, so he can probably do without one. Superman, not so much, but I rather liked Man of Steel. Wonder Woman needed and got one, and it was great. Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman seem very forced and rushed, however. Maybe solo movies for them would not have been great by themselves, but the movies would also have served to help flesh out and build the story of the DC universe. Justice League tried to be the Avengers with half of the work, and it shows. What's even sadder is the Justice League predates the Avengers conceptually, and there have been quite a few TV shows and movies that have accomplished this feat quite well. Why then did DC Comics fail at what should have been easy as pie for them?

In short, Justice League is an okay movie. It's not as good as it should have been, but it's thankfully not as bad either.

I am not too sure why this movie is as hated as it has been. True their is pretty much no character development and Batman is pretty lame - and for me the biggest lame thing was Stephenwolf who looked WAY too CGI but the rest of the movie was a basic super hero fighting movie. I agree that they had a great opportunity to actually make a movie with some interest to it but missed the mark.

If they want to know how to make a great movie the DC people should watch the new Thor movie or the new Avengers. This was a good movie, and I enjoyed it, but just missed a lot of opportunities.

The best lines were all in the trailers. It's pretty clear Warner Brothers & DC are scrambling to catch up to the Marvel universe. I would have preferred to see individual movies about Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash before this but I'm not sure there are sufficient backstories for that. I also thought the villain and his minions were underwhelming for the hyperbole of the crisis.

How can they make my childhood heroes so dull and lifeless? It starts with the script, I’d say, one that lacks all intrigue or vitality. Perhaps if I were seven years old again I might have enjoyed this. No, I think not; I had taste even then. This movie is a stinker.

"It has a lot of flaws, but it’s fun. I did have fun watching it. I enjoyed seeing this characters on-screen together, I loved seeing Ezra Miller as The Flash and seeing Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, they were new and felt fresh. It was great to see Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot return as Batman and Wonder Woman and I liked Ray Fisher as Cyborg. I think the actors were fine in their roles. I liked some of the action, the music was fun..."
