Sexy, twisty, cheeky fun. Go in knowing as little as possible and enjoy the ride!

I read the book and loved the book. The movie takes ideas from the book but creates a new different story that has a similar sprit. If you read the book you'll notice several different character changes in the movie. The book and movie both have a plot twist at the end, but they are completely different. Overall I would recommend both the movie and the book since they both tell a good story. The book is more of a thriller while the movie has a more comedic take on the story.

I agree with the previous review. The book is slightly different which makes it a different story. I enjoyed both. I primarily watched the movie because I love Blake Lively. I was not disappointed.

I *highly* suggest reading the book first and then watching the movie.

There are several differences that you will hate that the cinema version changed! Book is much better, but don't take my word for it.

Sexy funny with enough twists to keep you guessing !! I would give this movie a 10.

A Simple Favor was a little cheesy for a mystery and suspense movie but overall it was a pretty good movie considering the fact that you can kinda see the plot twist coming at the end.

A Simple Favor was simply awful. It was a movie searching for an identity. Was it a cute movie about a simpleton vlogger? Was it a murder mystery or a comedy? It seemed like every possible plot line was thrown in. If in doubt add incest and graphic sex. Then switch to children at play. Then a nude dead body. Then the old twin trick. No matter what it was trying to be, I NEVER want to hear a six year-old use the "f" word in a movie or real life. I probably over use the word myself, but it does seem to be the word of the week. Do yourself a simple favor and avoid this film. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the same movie.
Even if it's the worst movie ever made, I'm watching it.
I never saw the movie commercials for it. I'll report back to tell you if it's any good.

If you loved the movie, more power to you. But I found the plot to a variation of what a soap opera could come up with. It was easy to predict, and I was never surprised. The humor, while expected, was mostly cringeworthy, particularly the revelation about the oh-so-perfect "Mommy Blogger" played by Anna Kendrick. I did my best to avoid seeing bad movies in 2018 (and paying for them), but I failed when it came to this.
