Add a CommentWould recommend this movie. A lot of swearing but it’s good if you like Seth and Charlize as actors. Not a bad film.
After seeing the real thing happening in the states recently, we had absolutely no desire to watch this, even if it is humorous. We didn’t wait to find out.
I was surprised by how much I liked this. I'm normally not a Seth Rogen fan. He seems to play the same character in almost everything. He was likeable in this one though. Having an exquisitely beautiful, clever and extremely high level politician played by Charlize Theron hiring scruffy journalist like Seth Rogen to be a speechwriter for her and then for them to fall in love seemed pretty implausible. But, in the movie, it made sense. He made her laugh and she could be herself with him. I hated the stupid obligatory drug scene (of course, it's a Seth Rogen movie) and I would have preferred less crude language and unfunny raunchiness, but the rest of it was actually a pretty funny and sweet romantic comedy. Overall surprisingly enjoyable.
Watch if you are a Seth Rogan or Charlize Theron fan.
Just a fun funny movie to watch. Plot is fairly simple and fairly predictable, but acting and directing were great. A little too much swearing all of a sudden, but overall a really enjoyable movie. Some really funny moments and good versions of two world leaders.
It was entertaining even if there were a lot of F "bombs". But what a concept that a TV actor would become a President and sell out the environment for money.

I should have known anything with Seth Rogen was going to be raunchy. Hundreds of "F" bombs by both women and men. Rogen and Theron co-produced this debacle. A poor example of a Secretary of State's character. Way to long.
I tried to watch it but kept forwarding through it. Weak dumb story I should tell you how it ends then you wont be tempted to wast your time watching it. I would say one of the worst shows I have seen during the past couple of years.
Crude...yet, amazingly funny!
