When Wall Street got smacked by the '08 financial crisis, a lot of ancillary businesses felt the pinch as well ... such as the New York strip clubs frequented by frisky brokers. It got bad enough that the enterprising ladies at one establishment started making their own rain--as they conspired to run up the credit card bills of their compromised clientele.

If you want to see a lot of T and A and pole dancing this is the movie for you. If you want a movie with more than a predictable and simple plot skip it, it is terrible.

Entertaining Robin Hood tale with strippers taking control and advantage of (mostly) Wall St parasites. JLo deserved an Oscar nod for her ferocious turn as Ramona.

I really enjoyed this film, which is based on a true story. I especially appreciated that it depicted the complexities of these woman and what drove their decisions in life.

The story of a group of women out to beat the system and target the wealthy is compelling, and there's plenty of solid performances to go around.

Plenty of eye candies and Lopez was showing off her impressive physique in her bikinis. But the story, though supposedly with a message, was not told in an engaging fashion at all. Disappointing.

The strip bar characters are as imagined but the mindset of the victims are not explored enough. Anyway, not my cup of tea though (thanks wiki) based on New York magazine's 2015 article "The Hustlers at Scores A modern Robin Hood story: the strippers who stole from (mostly) rich, (usually) disgusting men and gave to, well, themselves." by Jessica Pressler.

Seemed dragging at times. This is the kind of movie that you can’t wait to end. Had a lot of potential but falls flat.

I wanted to love this movie based on the "women take charge" aspect, but in the end I could not. Though it does start out strong and the stories start off with good details;it falls short and by the end I just wanted it to end.

There's a time limit to hustling: it will will catch up to you, sooner or later with consequences beyond your control.

2 0f 5 stars on this! We love Jennifer Lopez's acting, but it was not one of her better movies! It was too explicitly raunchy and immoral for one of HER movies. Not to say the acting was not good, it was! This could have been filmed with more taste. Since it is a true story mostly,
perhaps the director filmed it the way it really occurred.

Title cards at the end:

Destiny (real person named Roselyn Keo, Cambodian refugee parents) pled guilty to grand larceny and attempted assault in exchange for zero jail time.

Ramona (real person named Samantha Barbash) was sentenced to five years probation.

Mercedes and Annabelle served weekends in jail for four months and received five years probation.
Look, there's nothing I can really say to make sense of what went down. But everybody's hustling. This city... Fxck, this whole country is a strip club. You got people tossing the money... and people doing the dance.
You're new. You're fxcking gorgeous. You're Asian. It's like a triple threat.
It's ketamine and MDMA. The ketamine wipes their memory, the MDMA makes 'em happy.
