A 3.5 out of 10 is about right, considering the fine actors. Not a very interesting movie, except for the scenery & cars. What a waste of such great talent on such a poor storyline , impossible to follow. All the acting was really great,

This is the kind of movie where they overdid the time period in regards to props, costumes, and language. It seemed very unreal and artificial. It could have been a good story, if done right.

I picked this up at Redbox on a whim. I was absolutely floored how impressive this story was---it is a period piece so the cars/buildings/clothes were authentic but despite it's length, it is a captivating noir-film with tour-de-force acting and direction. The real crime is that it did not get an Oscar nod. Highly recommended.
