A murder mystery disguised as a supernatural thriller. Acting is pretty bad and so is the plot.

I was distracted by Helen Hunt's plastic appearance. Geez!! She looked like skeletor from He-man. The movie felt like it was haphazardly put together. The ridiculous camera shots were headache inducing. The plot felt like they couldn't decide if it should be a horror or a thriller. I'm upset I watched this.

Actually I really liked this movie; I didn't expect several of the plot changes. I really had to pay attention which was refreshing.

This had an inventive way of showing events in reverse and that is all the points it earned with me. I did like the setting in a town in Northern Ohio, really beautiful place. I honestly don't think much about the physicality of actors but I thought Helen Hunt looked so unwell, like her face was sunken in. It almost made it uncomfortable for me to look at her. And I don't say that for superficial reasons, I think she has always been an underrated actress so I actually had concern for her. Many reviews said this had a big doozy of an ending but I didn't think so, in fact I felt it was pretty obvious.
Also the soundtrack was over the top heavy handed.
I say skip this one and if you want a good thriller, procedural, missing kid watch the series Broadchurch with David Tennant and Olivia Cole. That one is riveting.
