Desperate for a splashy win, Democratic political consultant Gary Zimmer (Steve Carell) was taken with a viral town hall video of plain-speaking Wisconsin farmer/veteran Jack Hastings (Chris Cooper). Gary successfully pitches Jack on a mayoral run in his deep-red community--a task that gets tougher when Zimmer's old Republican nemesis, Faith Brewster (Rose Byrne), lends her savvy to the incumbent.

Believe it or not, it's truly worth watching this week. Given all of the money spent (billion? wasted) collectively on all of the campaigns. Bring back the knock on the door, I'm running for office days of Jimmy Carter; and stop printing those rarely read pamphlets that everyone tosses (oops sorry for the preaching). Just stick with it - seriously. It is hokey in parts, but it lingers with you after it's over. It's funny too if you don't care for politics. Give it a go.

It’s relevant and that’s about it! Acting Is silly, humour is weak. Watch if there is absolutely nothing for you to watch!
