Political rivalry as it is, with a minimum of conscious villainy. It's impossible to imagine any other actors in the roles of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair. There is perhaps not enough story here for a feature film -- I never had the sense that the two were close friends, or that there was any deep betrayal. To quote another film, it's just business. EXTRAS: useful writer and producer commentary; Michael Sheen's arched, waxed eyebrows, for his stage role of Caligula, which he was playing at the time.

Very educational film. Politics in the backroom - cold hearted & self serving. Historically accurate from all available info. Confirmed for me that Tony Blair was the first Conservative to lead the Labour Party. Gordon Brown was by far the more decent man, but got himself a good back-stabbing. Excellent movie, but chilling.
