After WWII, 16 year old Erich's widowed mother remarries his Uncle, Klaus. Along with his younger brother, they set off for South America and Klaus' new job. On the way, their small plane crashes in the middle of the vast Amazon jungle. They have no way of making contact with the world, and no means of transportation in the harsh Amazonian climate. The survivors are found by a tribe of untouched people, who seem to offer safety, but what at first appears as hope, quickly turns to despair.

Serving suggestion: mango, grubs and tapioca.
