Age Rating: 14+ A beautiful story of Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old girl with lung cancer, and Augustus 'Gus' Waters, a seventeen-year-old boy in remission from cancer in his leg. Hazel, a smart and practical girl, very aware of her inevitable death, pursues life with a gray shadow with an acute awareness for the grief she will cause. But life has other plans for her. She unexpectedly meets the dashing Augustes Waters at a support group and they find their way spending their days together. This hopeful and hopeless, this beautiful but saddening novel is one of my absolute favorites. I have reread this book several times over and each time it's better than the last. Every single time I laugh and I cry, but I love this book because in the sorrow and happiness is the most accurate representation of life I have found. Everyone needs to read this book once in their life, it is just so perfect. And I dare you - try not to have your heart broken reading this book, you can't.
