Twilight is a great book that contains the perfect combination of romance and fantasy. The tension and chemistry between the two main characters Edward and Bella, make it an incredible experience for an audience that wants a wonderful story involving a relationship between a regular human and a menacing vampire. In addition, this book is wonderfully detailed and includes vivid imagery and an in depth scope into each individual characters’ personality and story. The constant inner conflicts that Edward has with himself and his fight to resolve them truly showcased his love for Bella in this wonderful love story. I grew to love each character and the bond they had with each other as I read more and more into the series. They were incredibly interesting and different resulting in a story with lots of flavour. In addition, the fast pacing and the constant change of events kept me on my toes throughout the whole novel adding to the suspenseful and romantic vibe. It’s a great book for anyone wishing to read a unique love story between two species that were never intended to fall in love. 4/5-@MatthewMaurice of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library I recently read the book: Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer. For the past couple of years many people have recommended this series to me, so I decided to finally read them. I honestly didn’t think I’d like this book as much as I did because I’m not the biggest fan of vampires, but I really enjoyed this book. For the most part this book is focused on Bella and Edward's relationship. I liked the pace of this book, it moved at a pace that was just right. I liked how well Bella and Edward complemented each other in this book, it made you want them together more. There are problems that go with their relationship as you’d expect, but I didn’t like the fact that they avoided the biggest one till the end of the book. Most of the action happened near the end, so it did focus more on the ups and downs of their relationship. I adored Alice's character in the book, I felt she portrayed the most happiest character in the book. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires and romance. I rate this book a ⅘. @peppapig of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library I would rate Twilight by Stephenie Meyer 5/5 stars. This book is incredible and definitely a must read! I instantly fell in love with Edward and his mysterious persona. I enjoyed the love story throughout this book; Edward would do anything to protect Bella. I enjoyed how a typical YA romance story was given a fantasy-like twist; the “Bad Boy” at school falls in love with the innocent, quirky girl, but he knows they can’t be together, but their love is too strong to separate them, except, he is a vampire. Edwards thirst for Bella’s blood makes you wonder if he actually loves her, or if he just wants her to trust him enough so that drinking her blood becomes easy, and not so much of a hunting job. But, at the end of the book , a certain event really shows us that Edward loves her more than anything and would never hurt her in any way. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, and I’m really anticipating New Moon, written in Edward’s POV. I recommend this book for people age 14 and older, especially if you are a fan of The Hunger Games or Divergent. @Dolphin05 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
