I hope that if her future books are printed in North America they leave the text alone. It irritates me no end when a South London copper uses north American English and everything is "translated" into N. American. Surely the avaerge N. American reader's intelligent enough to understand what's meant by the "boot" of a car and that "tyres" are the rubber bits on the wheels. Sadly the N. American publishers seem to think that only N. American English can be understood in this country and that, probably, we in London should speak and spell in bad American. All right, rant over. I'm sure all Canadian readers agree with me though.
